Top 5 Carpooling and Ridesharing Apps in Slovakia: Q2 2023 Performance

In the second quarter of 2023, the carpooling and ridesharing app market in Slovakia displayed interesting trends across the top five apps. Data from Sensor Tower reveals key insights into their performance on a unified platform.

Bolt: Request a Ride showed a consistent increase in weekly downloads, starting from about 2.7K at the end of March and rising to 4.3K by the end of June. Weekly active users also grew steadily, from around 65K in late March to approximately 70K at the end of the quarter.

Uber - Request a ride experienced a gradual rise in weekly downloads, starting at roughly 700 in late March and climbing to nearly 1.4K by the end of June. The app's weekly active users also saw a steady increase, from around 46K to over 50K throughout the quarter.

BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus maintained a relatively stable weekly download rate, fluctuating between 500 and 700 downloads. Weekly active users remained consistent as well, hovering around 4.8K to 4.9K for most of the quarter, with a slight dip to approximately 4.4K in mid-June.

Careem – rides, food & more saw a decline in weekly downloads, starting at around 180 in early April and dropping to about 90 by the end of June. Weekly active users also decreased, from approximately 530 in late March to around 370 by the end of the quarter.

Cabify experienced modest growth in weekly downloads, beginning the quarter with around 65 downloads and peaking at roughly 175 in mid-June. Weekly active users followed a similar trend, increasing from approximately 480 in late March to around 660 by the end of June.
